Friday, May 9, 2025 - New Garden Field Construction Update

My crew and I have been working diligently since the snow melted off the field to prepare the new field for gardening.

Progress so far:

·         Volunteer tree saplings cut and removed

·         Dead grass raked and removed

·         Plots measured and identified

·         Plot marker posts cut and installed

·         Plot marker number signs painted and installed

·         Rototilling contractor hired and coming soon

·         Fencing supplies sourced and ordered

·         Dirt fill sourced and ordered

Work yet to do:

·         Install wire fencing

·         Build primary field entrance once dirt is delivered

·         Build secondary field entrance once dirt is delivered

·         Install garden gate

·         Deliver and set up water totes

·         Deliver water to water totes

For those gardeners who did not order rototilling, your garden is ready to use now. You will have to park on the roadway and walk into the garden until we build the entrance.

Still some vacancies left for this year. Tell your friends!
