Saturday, June 14, 2025 - Oxeye Daisy in the Garden

As identified in a previous post, Oxeye Daisy is an invasive weed governed under the Alberta Weed Control Act. These weeds must be controlled and not allowed to spread.

We have noticed an infestation of these weeds in the garden this year, and have pulled all the offending plants in the common areas of the garden. It is your responsibility to ensure that you pull any of these plants that may start growing on your plot(s).

Do NOT place them in the compost pile, where they may just start growing again. Dispose of them in the garbage, where we will collect them and destroy them by burning.

Lots of photos here to help you identify the offending plants.
